We see many objects in our surrounding some are natural and some are man-made. Every such object is made of tiny particles called an atom. The atom and atomic structure of every such object are distinct and unique which gives the object its peculiar characteristics.
It is strange to know that even this smallest atom can be further divided into neutron, protons, and electrons.
The nuclear of every atom can be spat and converted into energy form by using Einstein’s formula- E=mc2
Earlier this energy is used for war purpose to make ammunition and weapons. Today it is mainly used for a commercial purpose like the generation of electricity and other such work.
It is an energy present in the nuclear of the atom. Atom is the smallest unit of every energy. At the Centre of every atom, there are protons, neutrons, and electrons. These sub- divided parts of the atom are very closely fitted. At the Centre of the atom, there is the nucleus. Nucleus comprises of positively charged protons and neutral neutrons.
In simple words energy between neutrons and protons is called nuclear energy.
This energy can be obtained by two methods –
1) nuclear fusion
3) nuclear process-
in order to obtain energy, there are two process
fusion means “combining together “
nuclear fusion is the combining of two small atoms such as hydrogen and helium to produce heavier atoms and energy.
a fusion reaction occurs in sun, generally using hydrogen as a fuel and helium as waste. this reaction if one started, is a never-ending process. As the hydrogens atom keeps on combining and forming helium. The energy produced through this reaction so large that it is inconvenient to even experiment such type of reactions in laboratories.

fissions mean “spitting up of the atom”
nuclear fission is the energetic spitting of a large atom such as uranium or plutonium into smaller atoms called fission products.
This process is used in the nuclear power plant to generate heat which further generates electricity.

Nuclear energy plays an important part in weapons and ammunitions. These ammunitions are used for securing the boundaries and for defense purposes during the war.
To fight change in climate:
The electricity generated through nuclear energy is polluted free, hence it is effective by protecting the environment by changing the climate.
To generate power:
The prime use of nuclear energy is to generate energy all around the clock. As today electricity becomes a part of basic necessities of energy person.
For sustainable development:
Use of nuclear energy assists in achieving the goal of Hague convention for sustainable development.

Despite many benefits of nuclear energy, even this source of energy is not devoid of disadvantages-
Nuclear radiations :
In the process of nuclear energy generation, there are also some waste formed during such process.
These waste are radioactive waste. Being radioactive in nature they prove the threat to our earth’s atmosphere.
The nuclear radiation impact is very high.
Radioactive waste :
Radioactive waste can be in any form solid, liquid or gas.
It is very necessary to dispose of such waste safely and appropriately because even that waste is able to emit radiation which is harmful.
Requires huge investment:
Nuclear energy needs a lot of investment. constructing a nuclear power plant and carrying experiment requires a huge amount of money.
Loss of aquatic life:
Nuclear experiment and waste are mostly conducted or thrown into water bodies which damages the marine life and creatives.
nuclear energy sources are same that of other power sources. But even dis energy comes with disadvantages like national risk, high cost etc. along with its advantages.
