Energy is the capability for performing any task, where the task or work is the movement of an Object by some force. People use energy daily and it comes in various forms.

Chemical energy is a type of energy which is stored in the Chemicals, like Gasoline and sugar. It is the type of Potential energy as it is a stored energy which is stored in Objects due to its location.

An easy example of the Potential energy is a bike on top of the Hill where the position of the Bike is elevated and it has the capability of rolling down the hill. In the Case of the Chemical Energy, it refers to the position of the various atoms which existed together within the Chemical.

Energy stored in the bonds of atoms and molecules. Nuclear Energy. Energy stored in the nucleus of an atom – the energy that holds the nucleus together. Potential Energy. Stored energy and the energy of position. Gravitational Energy. The energy of place or position. Elastic Energy. Energy stored in objects by the application of force.

Now we all have understood that Chemical energy has Potential energy in it and so we explore the importance of the Chemical energy. The plant uses the energy from the sun for making oxygen and sugar from the Water and Carbon dioxide.

We all along with the other Animals, digest that sugar for releasing energy, so we can perform work. Sugar is digested in our Body and in other words it is broken into the Water and Carbon Dioxide which in turn is used by the Plants for making much more sugar.

We have just talked about the Plants that make the use of the solar energy to make Sugar from Water and Carbon Dioxide. Water, Sugar and Carbon Dioxide are all the 3 Chemicals which are held together by Chemical Bonds or Chemical Forces that holds the Chemicals Together.

For example, All the Sugar is composed of Hydrogen, Oxygen, and Carbon that held together by the Chemical bonds. These Atoms do not stick together automatically.

Energy is required for holding them together. For the formation of Sugar, Plants utilize Solar Energy for putting the Hydrogen, Carbon and Oxygen Atoms together.

This is a better example of the Energy Transformation, where energy is modified from one form into another form. In this case, solar energy is changed into the Chemical energy which holds the sugar together as well as prevents it falling.

We earlier learned about the Chemical energy is that it is a type of Potential energy and this Potential energy is stored in the Chemical bonds that hold the Chemicals together. When the Chemical bonds are broken, the Potential energy can be released.

This happens when people digest the sugar when they eat it. Sugar is digested to Water and Carbon Dioxide when the Chemical Bonds are broken.

The Potential energy is released in the form of Kinetic Energy or energy of Heat and Motion or Non-usable Energy. This Kinetic energy is used to perform any type of task such as contract the muscles as well as generate the heat that helps to keep our Body warm.

It is used to generate Heat in the human Body for sustaining essential functions that convert solar energy into the plants through the Photosynthesis; it also generates electrical energy in the Batteries to charge the devices and burning the fossils fuels in the combustion engines for producing motion or heat. There are lots of sources that produce Chemical energy and some are renewable like the Solar Energy.
